This room. I want it. Everything except the pattern on that chair, the curtains and the prints on the wall. I’ll change those out.

52books:

After many stressful months at work, I have a week off. Today I started to organize my closet then decided to go out for a read and a pumpkin ale. Tomorrow I will get a haircut.
These are exciting times.

When 52books first posted this a few weeks ago, I was so fascinated by the idea of pumpkin ale that I looked it up to find out what it was, and then did a mad google and ring around to find suppliers/manufacturers of pumpkin ale in Australia/Perth.
The most easily accessible is the St Ambroise Citrouille which I found at Cellarbrations in Carlisle, but I really didn’t taste much in the way of pumpkin or spices. I know I’m not much of a drinker let alone an ale connoisseur, but I don’t know, I was expecting something more pumpkiny.
The bees knees of pumpkin ales is meant to be the Punkin Ale by Dogfish Head in Delaware, but they don’t ship that ale over here. Beer Store sells Dogfish Head, but not the Punkin Ale.
Feral Brewery in the Swan Valley used to brew a pumpkin ale, but no longer. Poo. And Murray Craft Brewing Co. in New South Wales makes Murray’s Pumpkin Ale which is meant to be lovely, but they only make a small batch each year and only sell by the keg to wholesalers, or on tap at their taphouse.
This is upsetting. I really want to taste a good pumpkin ale. :(

The world’s first light field camera is here!

Lytro is that wild camera that lets you focus a photo after you’ve already taken it. (Here’s a vid showing how it works.)

They’ve *just* announced the deets: there’ll be 2 cameras, a $399 8GB model in grey or blue and a $499 16GB in red. Pre-orders start today to ship in 2012.

I very much want one of these. I’m not entirely sure why, I haven’t gotten past the magpie factor to be able to figure out some sort of justification yet.

Garlic Potato Rounds with Pesto and Shaved Avocado

I think I would want these way more than the cheese covered variant.

While I was browsing their online site, I was also quite taken by this dress.  It would have been awesome for The Great Steampunk Affaire later this month.

Was wandering through Soho (I think) and stumbled on All Saints.  I kind of fell for their line of dresses.  This one looks much better on the mannequin than it does in this picture.
Unfortunately, they’re not really within a budget I can justify considering I don’t go out to events that would warrant a USD$650 dress.
But I can still adore from afar.

I still have issues with motion sickness when I play FPS (still haven’t completely resolved that with the camera angle config tweak for Portal) so I have never finished the game.
But I really want this egg cup.
