It’s been a while since I’ve watched the anime Haibane Renmei (Ash Feather Federation). I loved it for its ethereal art style, and haunting soundtrack. It’s just very pretty.
The story follows an angel-like being named Rakka. She and other Haibane find themselves born in the walled city of Glie which the Haibane cannot leave. I know that’s a little ambiguous, but saying anything more gives too much away.
If you’re willing to sit through twelve half-hour episodes, give this one a try.
