It seems ‘television’ is also wrong because ‘tele-’ is a Greek prefix and ‘vision’ has Latin roots. ‘Telescope’ is the correct word derived from Greek, but was already in use for another purpose. And I can’t quite work out what the completely Latin derived word would be, ‘Transvision’? I haven’t touched Latin since year 7… Anyone else have a suggestion? :)
