Hunt on for lovestruck soldier who rang wrong number to propose - Telegraph (via Gizmodo)
A UK soldier, presumed to currently be in Afghanistan, left a heartfelt message and proposal on someone else’s voicemail by mistake.
All that can be discerned from the 90 second message is that the girlfriend’s name is Samantha and she is pregnant. The soldier appears to have a Sunderland accent and the misdialled number ended up being in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. A couple more details are in the linked article.
