Ultra-tiny frogs discovered living like faeries inside pitcher plants (via io9)
These 10-12mm frogs were found in Borneo living in pitcher plants. They were originally thought to be juveniles of other larger species of frog, but they’re actually adults of a micro-species!
Scientists discovered them when they followed their loud croaks to the plants. I’m sure there’s a joke about the inversely proportional relationship between size and performance in there somewhere.
My island of birth has all the cool stuff.
